This morning we had to arrive at Great Ormond Street Hospital at 6am with our precious Olivia for her first MRI under general anaesthesia.  Thank goodness Bruno is here with me. He and I are full of anxiety since this is the first time we’re going through this, but we’re trying to keep Olivia relaxed while all these people keep coming in the cold, lifeless room.  She has an unstable neck in the C1 and C2 region, which is why the results will be important to deduce the severity, but the real worry is the experience level of the anaesthesiologist. He/She will have to put a tube down her throat to provide a clear airway and tilting her head too far back could cause permanent damage! I must trust they know the history of the child and will take extra special care of our darling princess.  These are the days when motherhood is a true test. My sweet angel. We love you!
