February 15, Day 2 post surgery.
What is medicine if there is no risk? On Feb 13 we took a deep dive into risk. A warranted risk. We fought to get her the best care medicine could offer and the surgery was a huge success! Dr Feldman and his Team at Paley Institute are Superheroes. They successfully accomplished their goal of spinal fusion/ decompression of almost her entire unstable spine. All for the purpose of offering Olivia a better quality of life. It’s been an emotional journey. Olivia is in PICU, dealing with a lot of pain. Now we must focus on healing and recovery.
