Today, I had to take Olivia to Great Ormond Street for an important flexion/extension neck MRI. I was very anxious about it all day. I explained to Olivia that I was taking her to take some pictures so the doctors could make sure her neck was ok. Thankfully, I had my good friend help me to watch Gabby and another friend to collect Carolina from school so I could come with Olivia alone. The technicians were very experienced and spoke very slowly and calmly while they explained everything they were doing. She was able to request a pink light inside the machine and there was even a slideshow of turtles swimming in the sea on the ceiling while she laid down. Olivia grabbed my hand while they performed the MRI and tears immediately streamed down my face when I looked into her eyes of trepidation. Calling Daddy at the office straight after to tell him how brave she was helped make everything ok, though. Another tough day accomplished!
Love you, Olivia! What a brave girl.
